Portraits

My husband took this picture of me after I set the camera up for him. I set it on the portrait setting and focused in on where I would be sitting and set my camera on auto so it would take the best picture of me with the type of lighting that was availible to me and VOILA!!

Portraits

This is my little Griff. This picture was taken during one of our family walks and Griffin had a booger monster hanging out of his nose and his ear was flapped over. I just had to take it. I decided to sharpen this photo because it was a little bit blurry and I changed it to be warmed as well. I wanted to bring out the character of the baby.

Cloneing

I thought this tool was really pretty cool. I tried using the cloneing tool a couple different ways by putting the butterfly here and there. I found that i liked it better all over the picture better. It just looks like something cool to look at even though, without the original next to it, you can't tell it's a butterfly.

Dodge and Burn

I had fun taking this photo at the top of Burke Mountain. i wanted the middle of the tower to stick out so I dodge and burned the photo. Dodged down the middle to brighten the tower and then I burned up the sides to darken the photo. This tool is really great!

All in one photo

I had alot of fun with this picture! I filtered it, layered it and dodge and burned it. I cut the face of my older son out and set it on top of my youngest in the bath tub. I set the filter on my youngest to texturizer while I set my oldest to grain. Filters are really pretty cool. I dodge and burned around my youngest son's hair and my oldest sons face.

Fun with colors

I had a lot of fun on CS4 with this project. I set the hue the first time to -17, saturation to -53 and lightness to -5. I then went to color levels and set the midtones to +8, -31 and +41, shadows were set at -32,+37 and -58 and the highlights where set at -33,-37 and -8. I then went back to hue and set it at +38, saturation set at +38 and the lightness at +10. I then saved it and posted it here! It's so amazing what you can do with your photo's!!

Fun with lighting

I had alot of fun with CS4!! First I changed around the hue and set it at -17, saturation set at -53 and lightness set at -5. I then went into color levels. I changed the cyan/red to +8, mag/green to -31 and yellow/blue to +41 for midtones. I changed

Color and Light

I had alot of fun with this already cute picture of the most adorable baby ever (can you tell I'm his mom!!). I spent alot of time messing around with increasing RBG and cyan and I added alot of green, yellow and red. My point of the picture is the eyes and innocents. Youthful pink lips and cute little baby teeth. I really just see this picture as a way to show a baby's freshness and vulnerability. I love this picture!

Angel from above

I really liked this project in CS4! It was so much fun to do. I love to get creative on my own and this program really lets me. I love this ski photo of my morning sunrise at my house. I love this picture so much that I decided to add myself to it to represent what I love so much.

This photo was cropped and the color saturation was changed. I also had fun playing with the RGB and the yellow. I added and decreased some colors. After a good picture, these tend to be the first things I change along with contrast and textures. i really like photo's that just pop out when you look at them. Crystal clear, bright and beautiful.

CS4

I really love my flower picture. I think it really shows through just how beautiful mother nature is and what it has created for us to enjoy in our daily lives. I really changed around with the color a bit and deffinately croped it to help bring out just the flower and it's beauty alone.

Landscapes

Landscape photography is my favorite to take pictures of. Landscapes shows the real and true beauty of mother nature. When you spend every day looking at the same thing, you tend to forget how simple it is but also how magnificent it is to look at. Something made this beautiful to look at with the naked eye but beautiful enough to take photo's that will last a lifetime. I hope you enjoy it.
The land around us is amazing and should be charished and used as art, wither it be a painting, photo or something else but we shoud all utalize what nature has to offer. Animals, tree's, water, green rolling hills and rocky mountians.

Slideshow

Rule of Thirds

This picture was taken using the rule of thirds. I love this one alot because it's position on the picture just captures me a lot more. I find that pictures that are in the middle of the picture can come out looking really nice but I also love pictures that allows more to be in the background. Sometimes this can bring out the foreground and make it more appealing.

I really don't like this one. It just doesn't do much for appeal. I tend to like looking at pictures that have more of a background. I really prefer the second one.

Lighting

I took this picture out my front window that the plant hangs in during the big snow storm that we just got. i took it at 9 at night set on manual. ISO 400 with my aperature set at F22 with a shutter speed of 10". It was cold but I really love the monochrome color scheme.

This is the same plant just with a flash used ISO400 and f-stop of 5.6. This was take around dinner time and the flash helped to bring out the colors of the plant. White trim, green middle brightening up the pot. Makes the picture look like it was taken early daylight.

This one was another one of my favorites. It captures the tenticles out of the spider plant. This one was an ISO of 100 with the same f-stop. This photo was taken at 3 pm.

Lighting assignment

Here is my favorite spider plant hanging in my big window at 10am. Iso is set at 160 with an f-stop of 5.6. I didn't use a flash with this one so it's natural light. I took lots of pictures of all kinds of things over the week but liked these photo's. They were the last ones to be taken and were taken during our great snow storm over the weekend.

Lighting

Out of all the photo's of lighting that i took I loved this one the most. It's faded from the right side and becomes sharper as your go left. I love how the lighting moves across the photo. I took this photo with my macro and around 2 o'clock.

Beauty

I love flowers and always try to have fresh cut flowers around the house somewhere when ever possible. They are natural and very beautiful, even when they are dead or dried out. I took this photo with macro setting and midday light on my counter. It was about noon. I took this photo at all different angels and fell in love with this one. I hope you enjoy it.
